There are apparently bad but quite clearly genius things coming from Croydon these days. One of them is a brand new single called ‘Move in Stereo (Liv Ullman On Drums)’. With it, super-arty yet super-rock nine piece Do Me Bad Things confirm they can produce an extremely exciting guitar-driven rock opera, enriched by a touch of irony. One of the most eclectic songs on new album ‘Yes!’, this track features a cowbell intro, a beautifully soulful performance by singer Chantal - and a very convincing one by her counterpart Nikolai - all wrapped in distorted guitars and coated by a glam feel. It’s experimental, it’s crazy, it’s catchy. And the original video is worth watching, too.
