Edinburgh’s mix of Belle & Sebastian, The Flaming Lips and Republica are set to delight and dazzle the open minded music lovers out there, if this foray into the topic of alien/sun god abduction is anything to go by. Sprightly instrumentals, neat backing vocals together with crisp and commanding lead vocals provided Riley Briggs give this quintet a crafted finishing touch. The lyrics will have The X Files aficionado’s salivating on each listen;

“One thing I was sleeping then I was taken high.
Through the veil of darkness, that had stretched across the sky.”

Strange, unusual, interesting and colourful are all adjectives that apply to this diverse offering. It is clear that Aberfeldy have what it takes to produce intriguing tracks and will always keep the listener guessing.
