Model-turned-Tv personality Padma Lakshmi's late billionaire boyfriend Theodore Forstmann set up a trust fund for her baby daughter before he died in November (11).
Forstmann had been dating the Top Chef host on and off for several years prior to his death from brain cancer and he became a father figure to Lakshmi's daughter Krishna following the tot's birth in 2010.
The 71 year old was not the child's biological dad, but he made sure to include the child in his will, which was approved by a judge at Manhattan's Surrogate's Court earlier this month (Feb12).
According to the New York Daily News, Forstmann established Krishna's Trust to provide for the two-year-old, while he also forgave Indian-born Lakshmi - who he referred to as "my friend" in the documents - for all debts the beauty owed him.
Financial details for both the trust and the money he loaned to Lakshmi, the former wife of author Salman Rushdie, have not been made public, but little Krishna's fund is said to be "generous".
Venture capitalist Adam Dell, the brother of computer magnate Michael Dell, was revealed as Krishna's father in January, 2011.
