Orlando Bloom was such an undesirable prospect to girls during his adolescence, he still refuses to accept he's become a Hollywood heart-throb.

The British actor has been elevated to pin-up status since capturing female hearts in films like the Lord Of The Rings trilogy and PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN.

And the sudden change in sex appeal has baffled Bloom, because he's still haunted by painful memories relating to his early years.

The 28-year-old says, "I was a porker (fat) when I was a kid. I broke my leg skiing and had to wear a cast for a year.

"I sat at home depressed because I couldn't play with my friends."
