Orlando Bloom insisted his wardrobe be upgraded on the second Pirates Of The Caribbean shoot because he was the only character in the first film who didn't have a pair of pirate boots. The star was humiliated while shooting the first film because he was forced to wear tiny shoes and frilly stockings - but he demanded an impressive pair of boots to make up for it in the sequel DEAD MAN'S CHEST. He explains, "I got the boots this time. That was a big deal. In the first one I had these little shoes and these stockings. "I was like, 'Everyone else has got boots! It's ridiculous!' I mean how can you compete with that? "So I got some boots and quite a cool leather jacket. It's like the biker jacket of pirate jackets. I was quite chuffed!"
