One Direction have made history in America by becoming the first group to debut at number one with its first three albums.
The boy band's new release, Midnight Memories, has rocketed to the top of the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 546,000.
The British act previously hit the top spot with Up All Night and Take Me Home.
One Direction also become only the third pop group to log multiple half-million sales weeks in the Nielsen SoundScan era, which began tracking sales in 1991. Only 'N Sync and Backstreet Boys have more than one sales week of 500,000 or more to their name.
Eminem's The Marshall Mathers Lp 2 drops a spot to two on the new countdown, while Garth Brooks' new boxed set, Blame It All on My Roots, debuts at three.
