Pakistani film-maker Omar Sharif has agreed to direct Indian comedy TUM MERE HO, signalling an easing of tensions between the two countries. The former comedian will begin shooting the movie in southern India later this month (MAR06) before completing it in Chicago, Illinois, where it is mainly set. And the decision to have a Pakistani at the helm is seen as a major shift for the Indian film industry. Producer MASOOD ALI says, "It's a romantic comedy and I chose Omar to direct it because I have watched his films and they are great."
