The 32-year-old singer split from girlfriend Francesca Thomas at the end of 2015, after a three-year relationship. And while he is currently single, Olly isn't letting his relationship status stop him from aspiring to have the perfect family life in the future.

Olly was being interviewed on U.K. TV show This Morning to promote his new single Years and Years, when he admitted: "I imagine this is the song I'll sing to my wife."

After the interviewer commented how romantic he was, Olly laughed: "Yeah, but I’m not in love."

The former X Factor contestant was then asked if having a wife and children was his dream, to which he replied: "Of course! Hopefully I’ll meet someone and have children."

At the moment, however, Olly is too busy with his career to worry about finding love. Despite going on a "few alright dates" in recent weeks, Olly is determined to concentrate on his career while it's at its high.

"At the moment I’m too addicted to work," he said. "That’s one of the reasons me and my ex broke up. I love my job, I love what I do."

Olly then spoke about his former relationship with Francesca, who he met at Britain's V music festival, and he admitted the breakdown of their relationship inspired the title of new album 24.

"When I broke up with my ex, for 24 hours it was really strange,' he explained. "I wasn’t too sure if I was happy I was single again or wanted to get her back. A lot can happen in 24 hours, there’s so much bad news but I try to keep positive."
