Olly Murs tries to avoid sex on a first date.
The 29-year-old singer - who is dating model Francesca Thomas - insists he would rather wait before getting intimate with a girl but sometimes good ''chemistry'' rushes things along.
He said: ''Sex on a first date is tricky. I'd always say it's a no go because I'm a gentleman, but then I'd be lying if I said it hasn't happened. It all depends on the night and the chemistry. It's not ideal but ultimately there are no rules.''
However, the 'Troublemaker' hitmaker admits there are some occasions he regrets waiting for the right time as it has never come along.
He confessed: ''I've slept with a girl on the first date and we ended up dating for six months. Then there have been times when I've had regrets. I had two dates with one girl I really liked and would have loved to have gone there with her, but then it fizzled out and I was gutted.''
Despite his openness, Olly insists he never talks about sex in detail with his friends.
Speaking in an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, he said: ''We don't talk about it in as much detail as girls do. We keep it brief, 'It was awesome' and that's as much as we'll say.''
