Olivia Palermo has teamed up with Italian footwear label Aquazzura to create a capsule collection of six shoe styles.
Olivia Palermo has designed a capsule collection for Aquazzura.
The 28-year-old socialite has teamed up with the Italian footwear brand's founder and designer, Edgardo Osorio, to create six shoe styles to be launched in september this year.
The collection is entitled Aquazzura x Olivia Palermo and will retail with 12 global retailers, including the luxury department store Saks Fifth Avenue, Lane Crawford, Tsum, Holt Renfrew, as well as being sold online exclusively through Net-a-porter, reports WWD.
Osorio said of their collaboration: ''Olivia basically has been our unofficial ambassador. She's always wearing the shoes.
''We're friends and we were talking more than a year ago about a small capsule that would be Olivia's eye and aesthetic but with the Aquazzura style.''
Prices for the collection - which includes over-the-knee boots, gladiators, suede pumps and vintage-inspired bejeweled sandals - range from $600 to $1,625 which Olivia believes is very reasonable for today's market.
She explained: ''Everything is so expensive these days and you still want to have things that you can find and have quality and the design aesthetic and be happy.''
