Stone Blames Alexander Reception On American Youth - Comments and Message Board

It is very sad that Mr. Stone is so delusional. His movie failed because it is complete dreck. The storytelling was weak. The casting was poorly done (in my opinion). The combat/battle scenes were either put together to great soporific effect or inspired nausea (in the case of the "shaky cam" scenes).Mr. Oliver Stone failed on so many levels that it was actually torturous to sit through the whole film for me, and I am a historian who loves the subject matter.I very much wanted to like Alexander, but I feel let down by Oliver Stones poorly planned and executed vision. This seems to be just another example of the disconnection of the Hollywoodmindset/society from reality.Oliver Stone is just another Hollywood "good 'ol boy" who has convinced himself that his fevered opium dreams are something that anyone else wants to see, and if you don't agree that his work is inspired by the Muse Clio herself, well...then you must be an unsophisticated, unlearned, unwashed plebian.

Indeed. Funny how he also feels compelled to take a swipe at a successful movie in the process. lol.
