Director Oliver Stone has had the December (15) release of his EDWARD SNOWDEN biopic pushed back until next year (16) amid reports suggesting the film has yet to be completed. Snowden, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the exiled former CIA employee-turned-whistleblower, had been due to hit U.S. movie theatres on Christmas Day (25Dec15), making it eligible for consideration for the 2016 Oscars nominations, but producers at Open Road Films have since pulled the movie from their end of year schedule. A specific 2016 date has yet to be determined, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
