British Rocker Noel Gallagher Played Two Sets During His Concert At London's Royal Albert Hall On Thursday (10dec15) After He Failed To Secure A Support Act.
The rocker played a semi-acoustic set of Oasis songs with his High Flying Birds bandmates and former Oasis star Gem Archer.
When Noel arrived onstage for the opening slot, he joked to the audience, "Thanks for getting here early by the way. I am only doing this because we couldn't find a f**king support band. I ain't joking neither (sic). My manager goes, 'I've got a f**king great idea, you can be the support band and play for four hours'. I get double the rider though so, every cloud (has a silver lining)."
He kept the joke running during the first set, quipping in between songs, "The headline act is a c**t by the way. He's not given us a soundcheck and he's not f**king spoken to us all day."
Noel had a 30 minute break before returning to the stage, and as he arrived, he told fans,"That was a tough act to follow... He's very pleased with himself back there."
He later thanked himself for being a great support act, saying, "It's been an absolute dream-come-true to play with myself tonight. A privilege, an honour. Give it it up to the support anyway, they were f**king brilliant."
