Noel Gallagher is taking part in an intimate Q&A for charity.

The Oasis star has teamed up with XFM and Global Radio to raise money for their Make Some Noise charity in the live session entitled 'An Evening With Noel Gallagher'.

The 'Wonderwall' hitmaker, 47, will be joined at the event at London's Hammersmith Club on November 3 by fellow rocker, Manic Street Preachers' Nicky Wire, Shortlist's deputy editor Hamish Macbain, as well as Creation Records founder Alan Mcgee - who over the course of a 90 minute conversation will aim to explore ''Noel's life in music''.

Noel has confessed it will be ''a pleasure'' to host the Q&A for the charity - which encourages figures in the music industry to help disadvantaged children and young adults across the country - and is looking forward to ''blowing his own trumpet'' once again.

He said: ''Having rarely stopped blowing my own trumpet since April '94, it'll come as no surprise I jumped at the chance to let the people catch me at it again, so to speak, while at the same time raising a few bob for the kids. It'll be a pleasure.''

Only 120 tickets for the event will go on sale from 8am on October 1, costing between £40 and £100.
