Rocker Nikki Sixx has reached out to offer support to a fan suffering from a rare disease, calling her a "role model" for standing up to bullies.
Chloe MCCarty has been subjected to cruel taunts from some schoolchildren over her impulse control disorder trichotillomania, which causes her to pull out her hair and has left her completely bald.
The 12-year-old girl created a moving video to describe the bullying hell she endures at school, and set the clip to the rock ballad Skin by Sixx's band Sixx:A.M.
The Motley Crue bassist has since heaped praise on MCCarty for her bravery and has even asked to meet the youngster.
In a post on, he writes, "Chloe, you made the most beautiful video for Skin... Thank you... You improved the quality of (Just) my life with this video (sic)... I wanna meet you... You are a role model... Your strength will give others hope... Thank You."
