Rocker Nikki Sixx is set to make his acting debut in a new short film if a director pal can raise enough money to fund the gritty movie.
The Motley Crue star has been cast in Paul Brown's new project Shoot'er, about a gunman-for-hire, but the project will only get made if the filmmaker can raise $44,000 (£27,500) via by 15 March (12).
The fundraising campaign began this week (begs30Jan12) and Brown has so far attracted 13 backers, garnering just over $700 (£438).
Sixx is now hoping to give the project a cash injection by encouraging his followers to follow in his footsteps and invest in the film - and land a mention in its closing credits.
He tweets, "Paul Brown who does all Crue's videos and photo's (sic) is doing a short film... Lets help out.I am."
Sixx will portray an "adulterous scoundrel" in Shoot'er, which will also star Trent Ford and model Sarah MCNeilly, and, if all goes to plan, it's scheduled for release in July (12).
