Nigel Kennedy Announces London Date To His Spring 2013 UK Tour

Following his sold out 2012 UK dates, world-famous violinist, Nigel Kennedy, will be touring this April/May UK tour, presenting a musical programme celebrating the music of Bach and Fats Waller.  Adding to his nationwide UK tour is a new London date on May 14th at the Barbican Hall. The tour coincides with the release of his new album, RECITAL: Music by Fats Waller, Bach, Kennedy, Dave Brubeck and more......" released on March 18th on Sony Music.

The concert begins with a Bach violin solo, after which he is joined on stage by an acoustic guitarist, double bassist and percussionist to perform Kennedy's own arrangements of the music of the legendary Fats Waller.

"Playing Bach and Fats Waller on one show is a dream for me - two amazing keyboard players, both masters of harmony and melody" - Nigel Kennedy

His 2012 dates with the same programme were greeted with phenomenal reviews, the Birmingham Mail pronouncing "Kennedy at his best", and the Times saying that the violinist was on "scintillating form".

For over twenty-five years, Nigel Kennedy has been acknowledged as one of the world's leading violin virtuosos and is, without doubt, one of the most important violinists Britain has ever produced.

His virtuoso technique, unique talent and mass appeal have brought fresh perspectives to both the classical and contemporary repertoire. He is the best selling classical violinist of all time.
