The court case between Nicollette Sheridan and Marc Cherry continues, as the tall, blonde actress alleges that she was unlawfully terminated from her contract on Cherry's hit drama 'Desperate Housewives.' The deliberations have been continuing today, reports the Los Angeles Times, after a tempestuous Wednesday that saw the respective parties sit at opposite ends of the court room whilst their attorneys duked it out for them.
The actress' lawyer has apparently protested that Cherry killed off Sheridan's character, real estate broker Edie Britt, in the fifth season in retaliation for her complaint that he had struck her in the head in a dispute over a line of dialogue. The attorney continued that the studio covered for Cherry in order to protect the show and its reputation.
