Snooki aka Nicole Polizzi, may have received plaudits from the likes of Simon Cowell following her run on the hit reality show 'Jersey Shore,' but the Chilean-born star has also found her share of controversy, in keeping with the form of her fellow co-stars. With Mike Sorrentino having a lawsuit against clothing company Abercrombie & Finch it's perhaps no surprise that Snooki is also now the subject of a court case - for the not insignificant sum of $7 million.
The 24 year-old is being sued by licensing company Srg Ventures, reports Reuters, after they claimed she weakened on a promise to enter a business partnership with them to produce her own merchandise. The company claim that Polizzi had agreed a deal with them but then started talking to others about setting up the same product. Among the ideas apparently put forward to the star were branded lingerie, watches and school supplies, her management company Neon Entertainment are also named in the lawsuit and the whole affair has the whiff of sour grapes about it as Snooki herself sued Srg in order to get out of her contract with them, citing a failure to fulfil their obligations.
A spokesperson for Pozzi claims that she's unconcerned by the impending suit, stating "Ms. Polizzi disputes Srg's version of the facts and looks forward to her day in court."
