Nicole Kidman was the talk of the red carpet at Wednesday's Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee (9th November 2011). There were whispers that Kidman and husband Keith Urban would be unable to attend the ceremony, given the country singer's impending throat surgery - but the pair duly arrived and wowed the waiting photographers.
According to the UK's Daily Mail, Kidman stunned in an unusual red and white dress by Stella Mccartney, which featured a cut out neckline. The mother-of-four supported her husband of five years, who accepted two honours for his songwriting at the annual awards. Urban was hopeful of performing with American Idol winner Scotty Mccreery, but in the end chose to watch the performance from his seat, having seemingly been advised to rest his vocal cords. The New-Zealand born star announced earlier this month he would have to postpone several performances after being diagnosed with throat polyps. Following a procedure due to take place later this month, the country star will have to rest and recuperate before taking to the stage again. As well as winning two gongs, Urban was also nominated for the evening's top award 'Entertainer of the Year', but eventually lost out to one of country music's biggest stars, Taylor Swift.
Meanwhile, Nicole Kidman has been tipped as possible replacement for singer Shakira in the upcoming Bollywood movie 'Gali Gali Mein Chor Hai'.
