Nine people have been hospitalised after a car crash on the New York set of Nicolas Cage's new movie - just two days after filming was halted when another high-speed chase went awry.
Disaster struck in the early hours of Wednesday (06May09) after a sports utility vehicle (SUV) smashed into a parked car near The Sorcerer's Apprentice set in tourist hotspot Times Square.
The driver of the SUV was on course to hit a taxi and instead steered into a parked car, causing both vehicles to jump a curb where crew members were sitting.
The victims were taken to hospital for minor injuries; it is unknown how many of them were working on the film.
Two pedestrians were injured on Monday morning (04May09) after a Ferrari slipped on a wet road, hitting one bystander and knocking down a lamppost, which fell and struck another person.
