A judge in Los Angeles has given actor Nicolas Cage a huge boost, ruling he doesn't have to hand over cash in an ongoing property battle.

The estate trustees of a Hollywood producer, who bought the Venice, California home from Cage, sued the Con-Air star and the agents involved in the sale, accusing them of fraudulently concealing facts about the defective home.

Representatives of the family trust of Bradford Lindsley Schlei claim the film mogul discovered water intrusion and flooding issues a year after he bought the place a decade ago, but he waited until 2009 to sue Cage.

On Monday (19Aug13), a Los Angeles Superior Court granted summary judgment to Cage and the other defendants, ruling that Schlei had waited too long to file a lawsuit before the statute of limitations ran its course.
