Nicki Minaj is ''haunted'' by the memory of aborting her unborn child.

The 32-year-old rapper - who had a termination after falling pregnant when she was just a teenager in high school - has confessed she has been ''haunted all her life'' by the decision

The 'Anaconda' hitmaker - who fell pregnant by an older boy after moving to New York from Trinidad and Tobago to study at the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music, Art and Performing Arts - added that the procedure was the ''hardest thing'' she'd ever had to go through.

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, she said: ''I thought I was going to die. I was a teenager. It was the hardest thing I'd ever gone through.''

The 'Anaconda' hitmaker - who touches on the topic in her latest album 'The Pinkprint, in the single 'All Things Go' and addressed the subject on her 2008 mixtape 'Sucka Free' in the track 'Autobiography' - didn't feel ready to be a mother as she wasn't in a position to care for the baby properly.

She explained: ''It'd be contradictory if I said I wasn't pro-choice. I wasn't ready. I didn't have anything to offer a child.''
