Embattled hip-hop mogul Bryan 'birdman' Williams was denied entry to Nicki Minaj's pre-Grammy Awards party in West Hollywood on Sunday (08Feb15) amid the ongoing legal battle with the rapper's mentor, Lil Wayne.

The Cash Money Records boss is currently locked in a bitter court fight with his longtime protege Wayne, who is demanding $51 million (£34 million) in unpaid wages relating to his long-delayed album, Tha Carter V.

He is also seeking to be freed from his contract and wants to take his artists Drake and Minaj with him.

The fall-out spilled over into the streets over the weekend when Birdman and his large entourage attempted to gain entry into Minaj's Grammy's eve (07Feb15) bash in the early hours of Sunday - only to be stopped at the door by security officials.

In video footage obtained by Tmz.com editors, one bouncer can be heard shouting "No" as Birdman and his crew walk up to the door, just 15 minutes before the club was due to close.

Police officers showed up on the scene to ensure the dispute did not turn violent but no arrests were made as Birdman and his pals walked away.
