The Heart Attack singer dated Nick's brother Joe Jonas in 2010, but following her recent split from Wilmer rumours suggesting the That '70s Show actor was uncomfortable with Demi's close friendship with Nick have surfaced. However, Nick insists there is no truth to the reports.
"Demi's one of my closest friends, we're like family and I also love Will to death," he told Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday night (14Jun16). "We've become very close in the last couple years, so not true."
"(It's) fair to say that (I hope) they both find happiness and are both happy and that's all that matters," he continued.
Demi and Wilmer announced their split earlier this month (Jun16), telling fans, "After almost 6 loving and wonderful years together, we have decided to end our relationship. This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more than anything that we are better as best friends. We will always be supportive of one another. Thank you to everyone who has offered us kindness and support over the years."
One breakup Nick admits he was responsible for is The Jonas Brothers split in 2013. He explains he was the one that went to his brothers, Joe and Kevin, and told them he wanted to disband the group.
"It was a very tough conversation, and it left the family kind of shaken up for a little while," he said. "I mean we were about to start a tour. We were two days from starting a tour."
Despite the difficult split, the family is doing fine now.
"We're good now," he continued. "I have a beautiful niece. My brother (Kevin) has a family. Joe's band DNCE is doing very well. It's good for everybody and it's good that it happened because I think we all grew from it, but it was very challenging for a little while."
