YOU SAY PARTY! WE SAY DIE!'s drummer DEVON CLIFFORD has died at the age of 30 after collapsing during a gig in Vancouver, Canada on Friday (16Apr10).
The musician was performing with the band at the city's Rickshaw Theatre when he suddenly fell ill and was rushed to hospital.
Spinner magazine reports the Canadian rocker underwent emergency neurosurgery, but was pronounced dead on Sunday morning (18Apr10) from a brain haemorrhage.
Bosses at the group's record label Paper Bag have led the tributes to the star.
In a statement a rep says: "It is with absolute sadness to report that our dear friend Devon Clifford passed away just hours ago in a Vancouver hospital surrounded by his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. I request that we respect the family's privacy during this incredibly difficult time."
Meanwhile, in a post on the band's Twitter.com page, they write, "DEVON CLIFFORD 1979 - 2010 R.I.P."
