American singer NANCY WILSON refuses to retire from the music industry because she is still enjoying making music at 70.
The jazz star insists age is no obstacle when it comes to the music industry and plans to continue recording and performing selected concert dates.
She says, "It's really fine to let everyone know what 70 can be. It doesn't get much better than this."
Wilson's 55-year career was celebrated as part of the JVC Jazz Festival which is touring the U.S until October.
Pianist Herbie Hancock and former jazz bassist John Levy paid tribute to the star.
'Smalls Change (Meditations Upon Ageing)' arrives in April.
The two awards have made for a great 72nd birthday present for the country music icon.
