Singer ANN WILSON is in the studio working on her first solo album, thirty years after she began fronting successful band Heart. Ann, along with her sister NANCY, was part of one of the top selling rock bands in the 1970s and 1980s. According to Nancy, Ann will be moving away from the group's traditional rock and roll sound on her solo effort. She explains, "Its not just a jamming, rocky type of album, it's very cerebral, sort of restrained and extremely musical production. "She has an amazing collection of songs so far, some she's covering, some she's writing. I'm going to also play some guitar for her on the album." She adds, "Ann's vocals are like you've never heard Ann sing before. Not soft, but delicate, interior, like a quiet fire."
