Hitmaker will.i.am has lashed out at music executives at Universal, blaming them for singer Leanne Mitchell's lack of success after winning Britain's Tv talent show The Voice.
The Black Eyed Peas star's rival Sir Tom Jones mentored the youngster to victory last year (12), and will.i.am still cannot believe the girl has had no chart success.
Mitchell's debut single failed to reach the British top 40, and her album has since missed out on a spot in the top 100, and will.i.am insists her record company bosses are to blame.
He tells the Radio Times, "The record company should be freakin' embarrassed. Somebody should be held accountable.
"These singers are on television every week, so you've already accomplished things that stars don't accomplish."
Jones and will.i.am will be among the panellists on the show when a new champ is crowned this weekend (22Jun13).
