In what could foreshadow the arrival of 3D television that can be viewed without glasses, Nintendo announced in Tokyo today (Tuesday) that its next generation of DS handheld game players will feature a 3D display. The Nintendo 3-DS device, which Nintendo said will hit the shelves during its next fiscal year beginning April 1, will not require users to wear special glasses in order to view its 3D images. Hitachi, which will provide the screens to Nintendo, recently released a cellphone that also sports a 3D display.
Take a look back at October's inaugural event.
The film is expected to continue without Mendes' involvement.
