Dreams actress Valerie Stevenson has died, aged 52.
The singer/actress passed away at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore on 10 January (15) following a battle with liver disease.
Stevenson moved to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 16 to pursue a music career, and became a backing singer for country star Louise Mandrell.
She landed her own show on The Nashville Network (Tnn) before scoring a role in Tv sitcom Dreams in 1984. Stevenson starred opposite John Stamos as members of a rock band trying to sign a recording contract, but the series was cancelled the following year (85).
She also racked up guest appearances on Tv series including The A-Team, Our Family Honour and Guiding Light, but dedicated her later life to volunteer work.
