Rockers U2 will perform their Oscar-nominated song Ordinary Love for the first time at the Academy Awards next month (Mar14).
The track, from Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, was one of five songs picked for the short list last month (Jan14), but Alone Yet Not Alone from the 2013 period movie of the same name has been disqualified after it was discovered the songwriter, Bruce Broughton, had used his position as a former governor and current executive committee member of the Academy to promote the submission.
The remaining Original Song nominees are: Happy from Despicable Me 2, The Moon Song from Her and Let It Go from Frozen, which Idina Menzel will perform during the prizegiving on 2 March (14).
