A police search has been launched in France after rock legends U2 lost a CD with a number of songs from their upcoming album.
The CD - provisionally titled vertigo - went missing during a band photo session in Nice.
U2 have been working on the LP for the last six months and it is due for release later this year (04).
Band manager PAUL McGUINESS says, "The recording of this album has been going so well. The band is so excited about its release. It would be a shame if unfinished work fell into the wrong hands."
LUCIAN GRAINGE, CEO of U2's label UNIVERSAL, adds, "This matter is of great concern to us. As the missing CD is our property we are very keen to find it as soon as possible. The French police are being extremely helpful in this regard."15/07/2004 17:25
