And the arrests just keep on coming in the News Corp newspaper scandal in Britain. An unnamed reporting working for The Sun and a police officer working in Sussex were both arrested earlier today. Scotland Yard said that the arrests were triggered by evidence turned over to it by News Corp's Management & Standards Committee. "They relate to suspected payments to a police officer and are not about seeking journalists to reveal confidential sources in relation to information that has been obtained legitimately," the police agency said. The two new arrests bring to 70 the number of reporters, police, and other officials who have been detained as part of the police investigations into voicemail and computer hacking and bribery of police officers.
