Those special editions of DVD and Blu-ray releases that some major retailers are offering are playing havoc when the traditional sales charts. Home Media magazine reported today (Thursday) that Nielsen VideoScan First Alert, which tracks disc sales, noted that The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2 would have been ranked as the top seller during last week had it not been released in different configurations, each of which was tracked separately, including a Walmart special that includes both parts of Breaking Dawn. Although of those different configurations would have given the Lionsgate film the top position on the chart if they had been counted in sum. But, counted separately, they allowed Disney's Wreck It Ralph to emerge as No. 1.
