Rap veteran Too $Hort has slammed false reports of his death following a sick online hoax.
Fans of The Ghetto hitmaker, 45, were shocked to read on his Wikipedia biography that he'd died from a heart attack on 31 May, 2011 after a mystery prankster logged onto the site, which is edited by the public, to alter the star's details in recent days.
But Too $hort, real name Todd Shaw, has moved swiftly to shoot down the claims - insisting he's simply been laying low as he prepares his next album.
In a post on his Twitter.com blog, he writes, "Stop calling my phone. I'm not dead. Been in the lab working on my 19th album No Trespassing in stores Feb 2012".
'The Bends' was released on this day (March 13th) in 1996.
