Veteran pop stars The B-52S have scrapped a series of concerts after singer Cindy Wilson was taken ill.
The Love Shack hitmakers had been booked to perform in New York on Thursday (06Jun13), but postponed the show earlier that day on the advice of doctors.
The mystery ailment has also forced the band to reschedule a Friday night (07Jun13) concert in Pennsylvania to an as-yet-unannounced date, while Sunday's (09Jun13) gig in Fairfax, Virginia has been cancelled altogether.
A message posted on The B-52s Facebook.com page reads: "Cindy's illness is not life threatening but her doctor has ordered her to take immediate bedrest... We all send Cindy our love and best wishes for a speedy recovery. We sincerely regret any disappointment this has caused our fans and hope to be able to make it up to you soon!"
Many ticket-holders couldn't get into the O2 Arena show on Tuesday night (September 19th) because they didn't bring photo ID to match their booking.
An album re-release, a new song and a documentary mark the singer's legacy this year.
The actor plays the titular hero in the forthcoming adaptation.
