An Australian dance festival headlined by Dutch Dj Armin Van Buuren has been marred by the death of one reveller and the hospitalisation of five others following suspected drug overdoses at the weekend (07-08Feb15).
Tolga Toksoz, 19, collapsed while partying at the A State of Trance event in Sydney on Saturday (07Feb15). He was taken to a nearby hospital and was later pronounced dead.
Another festival-goer is in a critical but stable condition, while four other males were also admitted for medical treatment, according to officials at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
An estimated 16,000 people attended the festival, with police making three arrests on suspicion of supplying drugs and issuing 40 other citations for various offences.
