Rapper T.I. has remembered his slain protege Doe B with a touching Instagram.com post to mark the first anniversary of his death.
The aspiring hip-hop star, real name Glenn Thomas, was killed in a shoot-out at the Centennial Bar and Grill in his native Montgomery, Alabama on 28 December, 2013 and his Grand Hustle Records boss made sure to honour the 22 year old a year on from the tragedy.
T.I. shared a photo of Doe B with his Instagram followers on Sunday night (28Dec14) and in the accompanying caption, he vowed to continue keeping his memory alive in his music.
He wrote, "I can't believe it's been a yr (year) to da day our lil Bruh (brother) been gone. We miss u errrrday (everyday) like a muuuuf**ka kid. It still hurts to know how special u were & how much we was supposed to accomplish this year,just to have it all end like this.... Bout some Bulls**T!!!! But we still Ridin for u Kiddo.... There'll Never Be a mention of Hustle Gang without paying homage to your legacy. U are truly missed so much more than U can imagine lil Bruh. We'll Never Forget what u mean to Us (sic)!!!!"
Doe B was one of three slain in the shooting incident, while five others were injured.
Two suspects, named as Darius Thomas and Jason Quan MCWilliams, were arrested following the tragedy and hit with a number of charges, including counts of capital murder.
The Centennial Bar and Grill was shut down by city officials in the immediate aftermath of the fatal shooting.
