Broadway star Syesha Mercado is embroiled in a legal battle with her former manager.
The singer/actress, who shot to fame as a contestant on American Idol in 2008, is currently appearing in the Broadway production of Book of Mormon.
Her former manager Fred Crawford alleges he helped land her the role, but claims she dumped him after accepting the job and has failed to pay his commission, according to Tmz.com.
Crawford is suing Mercado for around $300,000 (£187,500).
'Wilson', starring both Dern and Harrelson, is released in U.S. cinemas on March 24th.
