Veteran British broadcaster Stuart Hall has been warned he faces jail after confessing to sex attacks on children as young as nine.
The 83 year old, who once fronted game show It's a Knockout and was a long time sports commentator for the Bbc, admitted inappropriately kissing and groping girls aged between nine and 17 years old in a series of offences dating back to 1967.
Preston Crown Court in England was told most of the victims were daughters of Hall's friends and acquaintances.
The Tv host was arrested in December (12) over the allegations, and during his court appearance on Thursday (02May13), officials were told he has pleaded guilty to 14 charges of indecent assault.
An allegation he raped a 22 year old has now been dropped following his guilty pleas.
A lawyer for Hall told the court the star is "sorry" for what he has done but a judge warned all sentencing options are open, including the possibility of an immediate jail term. He will be sentenced on 17 June (13).
Hall is expected to make a statement later on Thursday but refused to talk to reporters as he left the hearing, saying, "I have no comment to make at this stage at all."
A spokesman for the Crown Prosecution Service, which oversees criminal cases in the U.K., said, "He can only be described as an opportunistic predator."
