Spanish trumpet player and singer RUDY VENTURA has died, at the age of 82.
The popular musician passed away on Thursday (02Apr09) following a long illness, relatives revealed.
Ventura first found fame in the 1950s as an accomplished trumpet player and singer as part of one of the most popular orchestras in Spain.
He released a number of hit records, including Mundial de hits and Ball del Estatut, during a long and distinguished career.
His funeral is expected to be held in Barcelona, Spain within the next week.
