South African soccer star Senzo Meyiwa has been shot and killed.
The nation's 27-year-old captain and goalkeeper was attacked at a house in Vosloorus, near Johannesburg on Sunday (26Oct14).
The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear as Wenn goes to press.
Police are investigating the incident.
Meyiwa took the pitch for his club team the Orlando Pirates in Soweto on Saturday (25Oct14).
His death comes just three days after South Africa's former world 800 metre champion Mbulaeni Mulaudzi died.
Meyiwa' national teammates Dean Furman and Andile Jali have responded to the sad news. Furman, who plays for England's Doncaster Rovers, took to Twitter.com and wrote, "Beyond devastated at the loss of our captain and friend Senzo Meyiwa. Thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this terrible time."
Jali, who also played for the Pirates alongside with the dead soccer star, added, "Just got a call and I was sleeping, but now I cannot sleep because of what I just heard."
The actor says he isn't "holding out for more money or doing anything like that".
The drama will be making its return to the streaming service in the near future.
