The Coen brothers' much-acclaimed NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN has scooped another prize as the awards season enters its final week. The thriller, which is tipped for the coveted Best Picture Oscar gong at Sunday's (24Feb08) Academy Awards, won sound mixing's top honour at the Cinema Audio Society awards on Saturday (16Feb08). Joel and Ethan Coen's drama was also named Best Contemporary Film at the Art Directors Guild awards on the same day - giving the pair further hope for Oscars glory. The movie is nominated for eight Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor for Javier Bardem. Academy members have to cast final votes for this year's (08) Oscars by 5pm on Tuesday (19Feb08).
