GOODFELLAS star Paul Sorvino is cooking up a treat for food fans - the actor is launching his own line of pasta sauces using an old family recipe.
The 70 year old came up with the idea after tiring of the bland sauces available on supermarket shelves.
So he decided to set up Paul Sorvino Foods and share his mother Angelina's Neopolitan secrets with the world.
He tells the New York Daily News, "I've been cooking since I was 12 and people say I'm pretty good at it.
"Years and years of those sauces and they don't have the right ingredients or taste. I'm doing it because I like to cook and if you use these sauces, it'll be like eating in my home."
And Sorvino is confident his marinara and vodka sauces will not disappoint - because he uses ingredients flown directly from Italy.
He says, "I get my tomatoes from Naples. I get the olive oil from Puglia. The spices I use are fresh, like the basil and in the marinara, a touch of oregano. No fillers, syrups or preservatives."
The sauces are expected to go on sale in the U.S. later this month (Jan10).
He'll also be on board as a producer for the book to screen adaptation.
