Legendary songwriter TED JARRETT has died. He was 83.
The musician suffered from liver failure. He passed away on Saturday evening (21Mar09) at a hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.
Jarrett was a prolific songwriter, writing hits for the Rolling Stones and Gene Allison.
He had number one songs on both the country and R&B charts, with tracks including You Can Make It If You Try and Love Love Love.
He is survived by his son, Tim.
