U.S. singer/songwriter/producer LEE HAZLEWOOD has died. He was 78. The music mogul passed away on Saturday (04Aug07) in Las Vegas. Hazlewood found fame penning Nancy Sinatra's hit 1966 record These Boots Are Made for Walkin', and later duetted with her on a string of songs including Some Velvet Morning and Sugar Town. Despite rumours of a romantic attachment, Hazlewood consistently maintained the pair were nothing more than good friends. In 1970, he moved to Stockholm to release an album and TV special, both titled Cowboy In Sweden, and remained elusive in the country for two decades, shunning his celebrity. Hazlewood made a small-scale comeback tour with Nancy Sinatra in 1995 and released his last album, Cake or Death, in December (06).
