British soap star Cy Chadwick has pleaded not guilty to a charge of indecent assault dating back to the 1980s.
The 44 year old, who starred in popular U.K. drama series Emmerdale for more than a decade, appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court in Leeds, England on Thursday (05Dec13) to deny the accusation.
The allegation involves a boy under the age of 14 and relates to an alleged offence which is said to have taken place between September, 1985 and September, 1988.
He was released on bail and ordered to appear at Leeds Crown Court on 19 December (13).
Chadwick joined the cast of Emmerdale as a teenager in 1985 and played Nick Bates in the soap until 1996.
