Singer PHOEBE SNOW is to take a DNA test in a bid to discover her ethnic heritage - because she is so often mistaken for an African-American.
The star was recently named as one of New Jersey's "black music industry greats" by a local magazine, along with Stevie Wonder, George Benson and Sean 'Diddy' Combs.
Snow admits she has faced questions about her roots throughout her career - and the latest magazine article has spurred her on to investigate her family tree.
She tells New York Post gossip column PageSix, "I was peeing in my pants laughing (at the magazine). I was like, this is fantastic, to be in such great company.
"Believe me, people have been asking me about this since I started in the recording industry. My mom was the whitest, alabaster-skinned person you can imagine, but who knows what went on four generations ago? So this mitochondrial DNA test should settle it."
The actor says he isn't "holding out for more money or doing anything like that".
The drama will be making its return to the streaming service in the near future.
