SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE's Oscars success has pushed the movie back to the top of the U.K. box office.
Danny Boyle's inspirational tale of the Mumbai, India slums jumped back up to prime position after collecting eight Academy Awards at the ceremony in February (09), earning the film another $2.4 million (£1.7 million).
Clint Eastwood's latest directorial and starring vehicle Gran Torino sped in to second place, taking $1.9 million (£1.35 million) in British cinemas.
In third place, new horror film The Unborn took $1.8 million (£1.3 million), while last week's (25Feb09) number one, animated movie Bolt, fell to fourth with revenues of $1.8 million (£1.29 million).
Confessions Of A Shopaholic shares the fourth spot with Bolt, earning the same amount.
